Indeed, God wants to pull us out of our past and help us  press toward bigger things, better ways, and brighter days. On behalf of the  God of tomorrow and the family of Asbury, welcome to our church online! Thanks  for visiting and have a successful surf!

Pastor Rudolph M. Bropleh is the Lead Pastor of Asbury  Church—a fast-growing multicultural Christian family. An economist-turned  preacher who is passionate about equipping and empowering others, Pastor  Bropleh spends much of his time leading church development and economic  empowerment conferences. A profound preacher and teacher, He has traveled,  taught, trained, and participated in numerous seminars, symposia, institutes,  conferences, and workshops in Europe, Asia, Africa, North America, and the  Middle East. He has developed numerous church development and empowerment  curricula, including the 4-Pillar Church.

Pastor Bropleh earned a Bachelor of Science degree in  Economics from the University of Liberia and a Master of Science degree in  Economics from Johns Hopkins University. He also holds a Master of Divinity  degree from Howard University and a Master of Theology degree from St. Mary’s  Seminary & University. He studied at Oxford University, earning a PhD in Pastoral Psychology.

Pastor Ginger’s God purposed ministry to the world is best illustrated by Isaiah 58:6 …To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke. 

She grew up in Winchester, VA. and acknowledged her need for salvation at the age of 15 while watching a television evangelist.  Ginger earned a B.A. in Mass Media Advertising from Hampton University and a Masters of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary. 

She has been preaching and serving in ministry since 2000.  In the spring of 2014 Ginger was commissioned and appointed as a provisional elder.  She has a passion for creating dynamic worship that welcomes, connects, and strengthens all people in their walk of faith.  Ginger is excited about serving in Hezekiah's House: a people focused, Spirit-led ministry movement offering help, healing, and hope while reaching new people for Christ.

She is joyously married and united in ministry with Elder Blane Medley.

Pastor Tommy Murray was born in Washington, DC and raised in Seat Pleasant, MD. As a youth he attended church in the metropolitan area and it was prophesied during his 8th grade year at Camp Springs Christian School that he would become a Pastor.  His service at Asbury Church began in 2000 as a lay speaker.  In 2006 he was hired as Youth Pastor.  Two years later, he was appointed to Pastor the congregation of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in Charles Town, WV. He has a heart and gift to spread the Good News of Christ in a unique way that is timely and relevant to the New Millennium Generation.  He encourages, inspires, and challenges all people to live a life of excellence. Pastor Murray received his B.A. from Shepherd University and is currently pursuing his Masters of Divinity from Wesley Theological Seminary. He and his wife, Heather, have been married for 10 years and have six children.  Together, they strive to do the work of the Lord and love God’s people.

Pastor Pam daily leans on two of her favorite scriptures:

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Psalms 23:4

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Philippians 4:13 

Pastor Pam is a native of Shepherdstown, WV. As a youth she attended Asbury United Methodist Church where she accepted salvation at the age of 12. She was very active in various ministries in the church such as Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Youth Fellowship, Young Adult Choir, and Drama. 

In 1994 God called Pastor Pam into Pulpit Ministry. She joined Ebenezer Mount Calvary Church in Summit Point, WV under Elder Charles W. Hunter and Bishop Alfred A. Owens and Senior Bishop Harold I. Williams, whom she received her Minister license in 1996. In May 2000 she was ordained as "Evangelist" at Greater Mount Calvary Holy Church of America, Washington, DC, by Bishop Alfred A. Owens and Senior Bishop Harold I. Williams. Pastor Pam graduated from Mount Calvary Holy Church Bible College Institute in June 2000. She completed courses through Apex School of Theology in Durham, NC.

Pastor Pam played an important role in building a new branch of zion called MT. Calvary Church of Deliverance in Pikesville, MD, under Elder Betty J. Brown, Senior Pastor. Pastor Pam was ordained as Associate Pastor and served until April 2007.

She joined Asbury United Methodist Church in April 2007 under Pastor Rudolph M. Bropleh. She is an active member and has served as Worship Director. Other ministries include member of the Praise Team, Drama, 2007 - 2010 Dance Academy, Chosen Vessels Dance Team, Methodist Women, Covenant Family Leader, Sunday School Teacher, and currently Pastor of Care and Counseling. She recently completed Stephen Ministry Leadership Training Class.

Pastor Pam and husband Larry Boomer recently celebrated 35 years of marriage and have four children and three grandchildren. She's employed with the Internal Revenue Service. She loves the Lord.
